| PLEASE..thank our volunteers for all the hard work they do to bring you this website and programs at Lake Milton! Special thanks to our ODNR staff for their teamwork. Clean Up Day at Lake Milton -- May 10, 2008 Everyone is welcome to join in! Green Team, Lake Milton State Park and Volunteers from all groups get out to clean up trash along our roads, to sweep the walking path and to do any landscaping shape-up that needs in our area. To participate, stop by the maintenance garage on Mahoning Avenue (the entrance next to the park office entrance) or just "join in" when you see the volunteers working. Info? Call the Park Office at 330-654-4989. Youth Fishing Day -- June 7, 2008 This free event is open to all youth. Fishing poles and bait are provided (if you prefer, you can bring your own). This is a wonderful chance for first time (as well as experienced) youth interested in fishing to learn from some more experienced fisherman. Learn to bait a hook, cast your line and hopefully...reel a fish in! More info? Call the Park office at 330-654-4989. This event is free for youth participants. Thursday Summer Concert Series Dates to Be Announced Our volunteer team is working on fund raising to bring Thursday evening jazz, country, soft rock, oldies, polka and other small venues to our stage. Nature Programs with Katie, Park Naturalist meet at the beach Katie our Park Naturalist hosts numerous programs throughout the summer at Lake Milton. Some are on a set schedule and some are "special events" that you will receive notice of via email (for instance, when the blue birds are hatching or if Katie wants to share unusual animal behavior). FLIP - FLOP FEST!! Friday, July 18th - Olde Dutch Mill - 6:30pm Dance Party on the Deck! Start your weekend off great at the FLIP-FLOP FEST!! Adults $10 (at the door). Help replenish our entertainment budget for the amphitheater. Thanks for your support. We did what we said we would do -- we emptied our budget and built an amphitheater for our community! We have park permission to come by boat and beach your watercraft at the dam (or come by car). Plenty of food and beverages for purchase so no need to cook dinner Friday night. See you at the dance party on the deck! And of course, wear your flip flops!!! |
The BIG EVENT!!! BEACH PARTY @ Lake Milton Saturday, August 2, 2008 - gates open 5pm, band at 6:30pm Amphitheater - at the Beach! "Rudy & the Professionals" BAND playing all your dance favorites with island flair Get ready to dance!!! This annual event is back by popular demand! It's the have-a-great-time family event of the summer season! This party is very casual with flip-flops, grass skirts and bright colored flowery beach shirts a must! Enjoy a wonderful waterfront BBQ for purchase by The Fifth Season Restaurant! Katie our Park Naturalist and the Green Team will have plenty of games for the kids. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on the Amphitheater lawn. You must be 21 years old to purchase and consume adult beverages with state issued ID. Adult entrance tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Kids are $5. Tickets go on sale July 21st at the state park office, Lake Milton Pharmacy and other area businesses!
